The 20.2 Pound Cheese Burger!!

In Uniontown there has been an amazing feat. A man ate a 20.2lb cheese burger including toppings in 4hrs 39mins. The mans name is Brad Sciullo and he ate this massive burger at Danny’s Beer Barrel pub and the burger is appropriately named “The Beer Barrel Belly Bruiser”. Brad had to make four bathroom stops over the eating process and was accompanied to make sure he didn’t throw up. He ate half the burger in 30mins and slowed the pace down for the rest. I think this is cool and would like to know if someone eats an even bigger one.

Five A Side Soccer

Last Sunday there was a fie a side soccer tournament on in Hamilton at Janson park. Our team (the Te Awamutu Wanderers) were playing and I was chosen to be in the team. We had to be In Hamilton at Janson park at 8:20 am. When we got there some of our team was there and it turn out that our assistant coach had waited for me at Anchor park in Te Awamutu. We were playing on fields four and five so we headed over there to get set up. Our first game was against Cambridge Sharks. In the first half they scored a goal and heading into the second half we were down 1-0 in the second half we came back and the final score was 1-1. The second game was against Western United and it wasn’t a great one. In the first half they scored once and at half time of course the score was 1-0 I came on in the second half and played as striker. One of their players got a break away and I chased him and as he dribbled the ball just ahead of him I started to lean on him and because he was about 3/4 the size of me he fell over and they get a free kick our coach was refing and he sent me off. we lost that game 2-0 I think, but they didn’t score off the free kick I gave. Our next game was against St Peter’s Cambridge, We won 1-0. Our last points game was against Southwell who are known for being very good at soccer. Their players were all skill and this was one of there weaknesses because they got really angry. We ended up winning 1-0. We went through to the semi’s and lost 2-0 and I think that team went on to win.

Wearable Arts

Darcey and I are doing Wearable Arts together and Darcey is the model. We are making a costume out of Warehouse and Pack’n Save bags and an old sheet. The criteria is that all the meterials must be recycled except when you are using things to put it together. We are going to need about five Warehouse bags and four Pack’n Save bags. Also we need a sheet to make a top to go under the bags and for them to be stuck onto. We are going to use lino for the soles of shoes and bags to cover the tops of Darcey’s feet. The contest will be held in week nine of this term and I hope we get a placing in it. But the people I want to beat most are Eric and Josh.

WAI Maths

This Thursday I will be going to The Hamilton Gardens to take part in WAI maths which is part of maths week in New Zealand. Holly and Kaitlyn are in the year eight team as well as me and we will be competing against other schools to complete as many problem solving questions as possible in the time frame given and we are allowed three attempts at each question or we can skip it if we get it wrong and we think it will waste time for us. I am looking forward to it and hope we get a good placing in the competition.

Hancock

Yesterday Darcey and I were going to see Batman The Dark Night but my Mum gave us the wrong time so we turned up at the theater at 6:50 and what do you know, Batman started twenty five minutes ago. So we found out what movies were on and there was Mumma Mia or Hancock and I wasn’t going to go to Mumma Mia. We went into the theater and sat down while the man put the rolls of tape on the projector. The movie was about a guy who had “super powers” that let him fly and gave him huge muscles and his skin as hard as diamond. It was a good movie but afterwards since we didn’t go to the right movie we had to wait about fifteen minutes before we got a ride home. But now I’m going to have to go see Batman again another time.

Soccer

Last Saturday my team played St Peters in soccer. My friend played for this team so I wanted to win. It was pouring with rain and it was freezing. I was a sub for most of the first half and when I came on I played left striker and almost scored a goal before the first half ended. At half time the score was 1-0 to us thanks to a two penalties but our left wing missed the second one. At the start of the second half I came on as midfield and then dropped back to my normal position, defence. We scored another 3 goals in the second half which made the score 4-0 but we were lucky to get away with a clean sheet considering they came very close to scoring twice. So in the end the score was 4-0 and I was happy but freezing.
